Trisha is a mother of three with five grandchildren. She was a finalist in the Miss Teen USA completion and a model in television and print. She then had a long and successful career as a corporate executive. Trisha is an accomplished chef, seamstress, fitness enthusiast, bargain hunter and travel adventurer. John is a former athlete, musician and Air Force Veteran. He holds a PHD in Communications and been on the faculty of Pepperdine, USC, and St. Mary's College. He founded a successful Los Angeles based consulting firm. John has volunteered as a youth coach for more than 25 years, and loves traveling, music, photography, and spending time with his family.

March 4 - RUBEN ARMINANA, President of Sonoma State University:
"State of higher public education in California"
"President Arminana will present on the current state of higher education in California as it faces unprecedented change and declining public funding. . He will review the challenges and opportunities that accompany declining tax based support of the California University System. President Arminana is exceedingly well qualified to address these issues given his experience as President of Sonoma State University and his strong success as a fund raiser and partnership creator for the University. Prior to assuming the Presidency of Sonoma State University, Dr. Arminana served as a Chief Financial Officer at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Given his additional experience in communications and broadcasting, the audience should expect a presentation as engaging as it is well grounded."
Dr. Ruben Armiñana became the sixth president of Sonoma State University in July1992. He is also a professor of Political Science and teaches periodically. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of New Orleans and a M.A. in Latin American Economics and Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Armiñana served as Vice President for Finance and Development at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona from1988-1992. Previously he served at Tulane University as Vice President/Assistant to the President. In addition, Dr. Armiñana held faculty appointments at both institutions, in Political Science at Pomona and in International Business and Political Science at Tulane. He also worked in the private sector for a number of years as vice president of a New Orleans-based international trading company and was a news consultant for a television station in New Orleans, following several years as a news anchor and reporter for the only daily Spanish-language news program on Louisiana television.
